And a very thoughtful comment, as always. Thank you. That sounds like a wise and timely and compassionate sermon from the pastor. We're led to wonder really whether and why tension has to be resolved at all. We naturally think it does. But tension, however unpleasant, can be creative. Two seemingly oppositional things can be true at once. There is a 'both/and' option. Isn't that to some extent what Heraclitus and Nicholas of Cusa were driving at when they spoke about 'coincidentia oppositorum'? (I feel like you'd know.) Maybe something to explore in writing!
